My husband and I were only able to attend the very first ultrasound together and after that, as I was pregnant for almost a year straight I was alone till the birth of my rainbow at every single appointment; including the one I heard “ I’m sorry there is no heartbeat.” Followed by an ultrasound a couple months later where I heard the most magical noise of my sons heart beating away.
My husband wasn’t allowed to be there in that same ultrasound room to hold my hand where I got the most devastating news. Loss is isolating especially during Covid. Pregnancy immediately following a loss is scary, especially during Covid. When all you know of pregnancy is loss it can be incredibly difficult to navigate pregnancy after loss but the joy is beyond anything I ever could’ve imagined. James David is a light to all he meets and I’m so blessed to be his momma.
