My GP said it was ok to let it pass naturally, which I did, but the wait was absolutely awful.
I had a miscarriage in September 2022. My partner and I weren’t even trying, I was even on the pill, but we were so happy we were having a baby. My first ultrasound showed I wasn’t as far along as they thought, and to come back a couple of weeks later. It was at the second ultrasound in August that we found out it had stopped growing, probably around 7/8 weeks. My GP said it was ok to let it pass naturally, which I did, but the wait was absolutely awful. Finally on Father’s Day, it finally passed through.
I thought I was doing better, but as the months have gone on and we still haven’t fallen pregnant again, it’s gotten worse. I know I’m still grieving and I need to give myself time; every day is different. I’m a huge advocate for talking about it though and I hope I can encourage others to talk about it too. Because we are not alone.
