It’s surely one of the loneliest and bewildering experiences I’ve ever had.

When I experienced 4 miscarriages and a full term stillbirth with little support from family and friends, I felt lonely and very isolated following my losses. No one wanted to hear my story or even ask how I was feeling. It’s surely one of the loneliest and bewildering experiences I’ve ever had.
At the time I was not aware that so many pregnancies end up in miscarriages due to it being kept silent and never talked about.
As a Peer Support Companion, I am able to support women and help them through their grief. I understand the importance of a listening ear and making sure a women’s pregnancy loss is acknowledged.
