On the 12.05.23 we found out we were expecting our first child, as you can imagine we were so excited and beyond thrilled to be starting the next chapter of our lives. Unfortunately for Cam and I this ended in a miscarriage at 8-9 weeks. My body took time to heal and we made the decision to try again - This was honestly one of the most mentally challenging things I have gone through , you live your life in a constant 2 week cycle Getting your period To waiting to ovulate To hoping you see those two lines on your pregnancy test. And if that doesn’t work you continue to do it until it does. For us that came exactly 1 year and 9 days after testing positive with our first angel. As you can imagine we were so happy to finally see a positive test again! We had planned how we were going to announce the pregnancy of our rainbow baby to family and friends , begun buying baby clothes and talking about our future for the 2nd time. We were excited to welcome a beautiful baby into the world in January 2025 but the universe had other plans. You would never believe that we are here going through this traumatic experience yet again- which this time we kept very private. 2 pregnancies and 2 little angels above. My heart breaks for everyone going through this - Please always remember to be kind. Spread awareness and talk about it , create space for people to feel comfortable to share their stories. On October 26th 2024 Cameron and I will be taking part in the Pink Elephant Charity Run ( Melbourne ) and are hoping to raise $500 over a 3 month period. Please if you can , help to support this wonderful charity The Pink Elephants Support Network are a not-for-profit charity, formed to support women and their partners through miscarriage, pregnancy loss and beyond. The Pink Elephants Support Network support women and their partners through their grief, nurture them as they heal and empower them as they move into the future.
