The lack of understanding and open communication about miscarriage were foreign to me, until I experienced the loss of my first pregnancy at 9 weeks. The stigma associated with the loss made me want to stay silent, but the more I opened up about it, the more women in my life opened up to me about their own losses. Forged by our shared trauma, the stigma melted away. If only I had known sooner I don’t think I would have felt so isolated. Pink Elephants was seminal in my healing process and it is an organisation I refer to women I know who experience their own loss. It is an organisation close to my heart and I am proud to support them. Your donation will go towards their invaluable advocacy work and support services for so many women and families!
