My husband and I are the “one in four” who have experienced a miscarriage. We are also the “one in a hundred”who have experienced recurrent miscarriage.

Over the last 18 months we sadly lost 3 babies. Two of those were at 15/16 weeks. We had the sadness of losing these pregnancies but also the gift of holding our baby girls in our hands.

During a time of profound grief we have been lucky enough to be surrounded by our friends and family but also be supported by the community we found through Pink Elephants. This charity has provided us with resources and peer support groups to help us in this challenging time.

My husband, Mat, will be running the SMH half marathon on 24 June and would like to use this opportunity to raise awareness and donations for this invaluable group who provide resources to help families like us through this challenging journey.
